Art + Design + I Want This

Ferm Living, Fall/Winter 2012.

Apologies if this is old news, but I haven’t checked in on those amazing Danes at Ferm Living in a while, so it’s all new to me! I have wallpaper from Ferm in my dressing room, studio, bathroom and pantry, so you could definitely say I’m a fan. I keep looking for more things that I can wallpaper just to have an excuse to use more of their patterns. I wasn’t really aware of all of the other non-wallpaper housewares they’ve added to their line, though! Obviously I need to pay more attention, because apparently Ferm are just designing stuff for me. I mean…look at this collection! I kind of want everything.

That’s kind of uncanny… it’s all so right for you! You should go shopping and stick everything in your new (kinda matching) tote bag. Gorgeous stuff!!

What, you’re trying to tell us they didn’t design this all for you, with your input?? Don’t be silly. 😉

You should ask for royalties! I’m positive you had to be their inspiration.

Are you sure that YOU are not really Ferm Living? It seems like they are designing just for you!

  • Reply Caroline September 13, 2012 at 10:17 am

I actually just checked them out yesterday! Suffice to say I saw a LOT of stuff that I can’t possibly afford right now. Bummer.

There should TOTALLY be an Anna/Ferm living collaboration.

    • Anna @ D16 September 13, 2012 at 11:24 am

I would love that! I dream of designing housewares. You know, in all of my free time, hahah.

    • Anna @ D16 September 13, 2012 at 11:24 am

p.s. Kelly, I really miss your blog!!

    • Kelly September 13, 2012 at 2:15 pm

I have been thinking about coming back. Maybe this fall!

    • Anna @ D16 September 13, 2012 at 2:29 pm

      I approve of this plan.

Well it’s news to me, so thanks! I might as well mail ferm living my wallet and bank info. This stuff is too nice to pass up. I’ll have to get something.

I’ve loved all your recent posts so when I saw the twitter prompt I eagerly popped in to read this post… and, I’m not sure how to say this, but this has made me very very very very very very very sad. How could you encourage me to look at their new arrivals?! I’ve been resisting the Ferm Living site for months as the last visit was almost too tempting. Today’s visit has resulted in a (fantasy) shopping basket overflowing with things I’d love to have in my home. I’ve closed the window and will now go and look at my bank balance to remind myself that I can not buy anything…

(I should just say thank you. I love so much in this range and fantasy internet shopping is a perfectly acceptable form of procrastination!)

    • Anna @ D16 September 13, 2012 at 2:01 pm

Haha! Sorry, Liz!! I do the same thing…load up the old virtual shopping cart and then sadly close the window…

These are great round ups! Love that metal weave basket!

  • Reply Igor September 13, 2012 at 2:41 pm

I am in love with their collection, too! The black wire basket has to go as no. 1 on my shopping list!

  • Reply jennifer in sf September 13, 2012 at 2:46 pm

Gah. Fall collections are kryptonite for my bank account. It’s hard enough trying not to buy all the clothes, and now this! I think I need that wire basket, and the gold cup, and maybe the triangle shower curtain, and oh lord.

While you are in Denmark exploring Ferm I would check out Hay as well they also have wonderful stuff (I like the raw candelabra (is that a word?) and chair).
    Have a wonderful day!!!

    • Anna @ D16 September 13, 2012 at 3:02 pm

      Yes, I love Hay!

  • Reply Simone September 13, 2012 at 3:29 pm

And such a great business concept as well, they just ask designers they like/ love, produce the design and when the design is sold out well, that’s too bad for anyone who wanted it. That’s not a job, that’s entertaining oneself!!!

I want to design for Ferm when I grow up! Oh wait…

  • Reply Nina September 14, 2012 at 7:34 am

I have resisted the Ferm Living website for months but now I am obsessed again. There are so many things I would like to have no actually I want to have…The raindrop pillow is great because gray and yellow is just the perfect color combination in my eyes at least 😉

Anna, I clicked on a link to this post from another blog, not realizing it was leading me here. I took one look at the Ferm stuff and immediately thought “must tell Anna!” before I saw, yes, I am at Door Sixteen. Anyhoo, if nothing else, my spell of confusion simply confirms you MUST have all of this in your home! Xx

    • Anna @ D16 September 17, 2012 at 7:10 pm

Haha!! That’s really funny. Thank you for thinking of me!! 😀

I’ve discovered this brand a few weeks ago and couldn’t resist their little studios. Ridiculously cute. Now I want their candlesticks too to put in it. http://www.nest.co.uk/product/ferm-living-studio-1-2-3
