Earlier today, I sent an urgent text to Daniel along the lines of “WHAT WAS THE PLACE WITH THE BLANKET????” And somehow, he knew that I meant Joinery in Brooklyn. And that’s the Eagle blanket I was thinking of! Good lord, it’s even more gorgeous than I’d remembered. Sigh.
Joinery came onto my radar several years ago, probably either by way of Remodelista or from Morgan—I don’t remember. Somehow I’ve never posted about the shop (which I’ve actually only visited once in person), and over time, I forgot the name. Joinery! I never forgot the blanket, though, and in recent days, I’ve been thinking about it constantly. BLANKET.
Somehow in my (faulty) memory Joinery only sold two things: THAT BLANKET and maybe a rug. I was wrong, though—they have all kinds of beautiful stuff, and now I know I have to do a blog post about the shop right away so I never forget the name again.
Oooooooh. Any housewares that make my life feel empty and inadequate are definite wish-list items. I mean, my plastic broom and dustpan set is basically dead to me now. And I might as well just throw all of my spice jars in the trash, because they’ll just never measure up.
I’m pretty sure this is the “maybe” rug I remember, and since it’s the reverse of the Eagle blanket, I am now obsessed with it as well. I love you, rug. I love you, blanket. Come to live with me!

Ok joinery, take all my money. Take it now!
Geez Anna, thanks for the new things to drool over.
Those spice canisters would look soooo good in your kitchen!
I thought the same thing! Maybe too good…
Unfortunately their brick and mortar shop closed last year. I headed out to Brooklyn for their final sale and it was crazy! They got wiped out pretty quickly. I’ve been drooling over that blanket for a long time as well.
HA. I thought they only sold the chair you showed (the Pioneer chair, which I found out is made near us in New Hampshire). They seem to be a stealth design source. Love everything you’ve highlighted…maybe too much!
So good! There seems to be a bit of that style around at the moment, down under anyway, I have discovered since joining instagram. Check out popandscott and wearepampa. The rugs from Pampa are amazing!
I got that blanket years ago (maybe because of when you mentioned it or an instagram post? I feel like the source was your blog) and it’s AMAZING. It has survived 2 moves overseas, 10 dogs, 3 cats and now a baby and it still looks and feels amazing. I want to buy like 6 more of them.
Hahahahaha, I kind of hope the source wasn’t my blog, because that would mean I’m REALLY losing it!! 😀
That is a mighty fine blanket though!
GOD. Why the hell don’t we have stores like this in Oklahoma??? (Oh yeah, I remember, because people here are dumb & love commercialized everything & even better if it has a bible verse on it!) I’m going to be spending the next hour of my life saving every damn thing to a wishlist for future reference.
And they stock a tambourine!
What unique pieces!
Kari
I’m shocked at how relatively reasonable the price is for the rug!
Anna that blanket and rug are gorgeous! Do you remember if that rug is soft? I have a baby boy on the way and feel like you just answered all of my nursery dreams, but I wouldn’t want to put a scratchy rug in there…
I’m so sorry, Meredith, I don’t remember! 🙁
