Oh boy, am I busy! Between an overload of covers at work and many, many, many trips back and forth between the house and the apartment (while still commuting every day—we’re still not sleeping in the apartment), I am run ragged. Thank goodness I have a stretch of days off coming up so I can get things in order and relax. (Relax?! Hahaha. As if. Unless if by “relax” I mean clean the house. Actually, I kind of do mean that. I find cleaning very relaxing, at least once I’ve started.)
It’s been exactly one year since I posted an office bathroom photo, and I figured it’s time to do another one even though I wear pretty much the same thing (or a variation on the same thing) just about every day. I enjoy having a uniform. It makes things easier.
Sigh. Enough chit-chat. Gotta get back to work! I’ll have more apartment photos over the long weekend, though, I promise. We’re on the last room (the bathroom) now, and the puppies are going to check out the digs on Sunday.
p.s. Yes, that IS the bag, and yes, it IS fabulous. It was a Hanukkah gift from Evan, and a huge surprise!

You look fantastic! I love the long hair! I may be down your way in February, I’ll let you know.
You look adorable!
I can’t wait to see more pics of the apartment!
i was just about to ask when we’d get an ‘office bathroom’ pic – i miss ’em 🙂 LOVE the bag …
Can’t wait for more apartment pictures!
a husband who gives you orla kiely is AMAZING!
The bag totally looks like it *belongs* with you.
He’s amazing for other reasons too, Jen, but the bag definitely helps. 😉
Love Orla!! So jealous!
i recognised the bag right away! what a lovely surprise.
loving the apartment pics. keep ’em coming! (though again, guilt at my lack of house progress….)
That is such a nice bag and it would seem you have an even nicer husband. Nice photo of you too.
the bag was the first thing I saw 🙂 looks great!
I thought I recognized that bag! 🙂
It’s so nice, and a great size (I looove big bags!)
I love the fact that it doesn’t scream ‘Orla Kiely’ too. I love her other designs, but they are so popular in Ireland sometimes it seems like every second person has one, so it would be nice to have an Orla bag that’s quite different.
Hmmm, I wonder if I started dropping hints then maybe I could get an early birthday present … 8 months early, but who cares? 😉
You are adorable and I love your style! I like how you use the term “uniform”. It makes me feel less boring about my wardrobe.
Everyday, I seem to wear nearly the same thing with slightly different colors. Most of my attire consists of neutral colors and greys with any color in my shoes, scarves, and in the zip-up-hoodie-layer of it all.
I like having consistency, but being able to change it up a little depending on my mood / day.
I cannot wait to see more pics of the apartment. Your design style is great and provides me with much inspiration. Oh, I love your Orla Kiely bag. And do I spy another one in the corner?!?! I’m totally jealous (in a nice way!)
I knew it was THE BAG! 🙂 I love the hint of red.
Oh, I am SO glad you got your bag!! What a lovely surprise. It is just you! And your hair looks great. The bangs rock. Sometimes I wish for dark brunette hair instead of my blond locks. *sigh* But my Irish, freckly skin begs to differ… 😉 Get some rest girl! 🙂 But feel free to keep posting… lol I have a friend from home that lives in NYC and I always tell her about your blog. To be completely honest, I just lost a baby 2 weeks ago (I was 12 wks along and I lost a baby last December also. I know. Geesh.) and this is such a nice break from my reality right now. Thanks for giving me something else to think about… 🙂
I am compelled to tell you that when you posted the book covers before I was shockingly alarmed at how many of those books I have purchased. You do your job quite well because I’m all about a good cover. You post the link again and I’m again shocked….because I can’t wait for those covers so I can own them. I swear if publishers understood that some of us consumers love the covers and would buy them in poster form…..oh man they could make a ton of cash. I have an ebook reader but I keep buying real actual books…and I hope that I can continue to do so forever. There’s something lovely about the tangible book.
very very gorgeous hair
Great picture. Love the bag.

Ah Lori. Tough, tough, tough. Much x to you.
Obviously you read alot of books. Got any recommendations?
I’m always on the lookout for new literary adventures.
You look amazing! And the bag looks amazing too!
You must be exhausted!
Congratulations on getting “the” bag. Here is virtual dollar to tuck into iit for good luck…….$1.
You certainly look anything BUT ragged in that picture – WOW! Love the bag too!
Glad you got the bag!
Thank you so much, Fiona… 🙂
Are you really tall?
No, just average — 5’6″!
That’s tall to me!
but you look like a man. sorry.
What exactly are you “sorry” about, Fannie? Just for generally being an asshole, or is it something more specific?
crikey, what is WRONG with people?
Anna, you look great. you really do. you look so much like my friend, also called Anna, that it is quite spooky.
A man?? Wtf? ?? You are adorable.
OMG, what is with this passive agressive anger in internet land. Jealous, small people leave comments like that.
i just checked out your website for the first time (via link)
and read this post and saw your design site.
noticed you designed bill kalush’s book on houdini.
nice to put the face of the designer to a magic book!
