I have been in love with this type of kitchen storage (the hanging of things) ever since I got my first ikea catalog. I’m afraid to do it in my own kitchen, though, because I can imagine my cats rubbing against all of the utensils with the sides of their bodies, contaminating everything with furry, smelly love.

Your kitchen looks so clean and bright and organized. Mine is dark and oppressive. I am envious.

the splash of color is just so utterly lovely and welcoming. actually makes me question my stringent black, gray, white and stainless kitchen. i thought the recent addition of happy little green plants on the table would be enough, but now i’m not sure. hmmm.

Ah open shelving I love it!!! I used to have these IKEA shelves at my old apartment. In my next kitchen, I’m totally planning to having some of it.
