Four Legs

Bruno is six.

This post comes a few days too late, but I can’t let another moment pass without acknowledging Bruno’s sixth birthday! On Friday night, he enjoyed a bowl of cottage cheese and rice (on the table, a birthday privilege), engaged in some serious cuddling, and fell asleep on the sofa.

Bruno was just a tiny puppy when we brought him home, and for the past six years he has filled our lives with an immeasurable amount of love and happiness. I truly can’t remember what life was like before he came along. He is a perfect dog in every way (well, he could be a little more tolerant of his little brother, but he gets a pass). He’s our little guy. Puppy forever.

I love you, Bruno. Happy birthday.

It was totally impossible to get a clear photo. He really wanted that cottage cheese!

Pets enrich our lives so much. One of my cats recently ran away and i tried to remember life before him, it was impossible. They’re family. Happy birthday Bruno!

Aww! What a cutie! I feel bad that I never remember my pet’s birthdays, but I always give them a Christmas present, so maybe that counts…?

I love Bruno, too! Happy birthday to little guy.

I’ve been lurking your blog over a year and this is the first post–I couldn’t resist send Bruno a birthday wish.

Between, great work, Anna. You’ve been an inspiration to me.

Hahah…Oh my gosh, how much do I wish that I could get that excited over cottage cheese?? We’re not sure when our guy was born, so I think we’ll be celebrating “adoption day” instead.

I love dog birthdays. Last year we celebrated the 10th birthday of our dog – and we even made all of our friends and their dogs come celebrate with us. It seemed kind of silly at the time, but we had to put him down in January and now I’m so, so glad that we did that for him. It was perfect, and he loved it.

    Happy Birthday, Bruno!

Aww, happy birthday Bruno! We’ve never celebrated our dog’s birthdays (well, I guess it would have to be their adoption birthdays) but now that I think about it we totally should! I’m not sure how many more birthdays our big dog is going to have 🙁

Happy Birthday Bruno! If you don’t mind me asking, I’m a very big fan of your design and home things, and your pup! I used to have a bichon that I let get shaggy and looked a lot like your dear Bruno. I was wondering what kind of pup Bruno was? Because I have my heart set on a wonderful shaggy white pup.. 🙂 Thanks for any information!
    Best, amanda monet

Amanda, you’re right – Bruno is half Bichon Frise! 🙂 🙂 The other half is long-haired Chihuahua. I really really really love Bichons, they’re great dogs.

    Happy Belated Birthday Bruno!

You look just like a Coton de Tulear named Cody. I’m his “nanny” when his mum & dad are out of town. He loves rice & cottage cheese too! Of course, he also loves apples, bananas, carrots and just about anything else he gets a sniff of… 😉

My mean old landlord hates animals (probably why he’s so mean)….but he has allowed me to have a kitty and she’s my little furbaby. All of the dogs I take care of feel like part of my family as well. They make our lives so much better in so many ways. 🙂 Nancy
