Lazy days. Watching the Olympics, drinking tea, folding laundry, and staying up late. All of these things meet with the approval of Fritz and Bruno.
For those of you who aren’t going to work tomorrow (it’s Presidents Day in the U.S.), what do you plan to do with your day off?

It’s Family Day in Canada – yay for holidays! We’re going skating with the kids at a pond.

Enjoying a Monday off but having friends coming over and watching the Westminster Dog Show tomorrow night
those dogs are a d o r a b l e !
(and I’m a cat person).
…organize my studio.
Your dogs are so cute!
As Heather said it is a holiday in Canada, so I will be watching the Olympics too.
Sewing! And hanging out with my own little furry valentine.
Love that chair! I’ve picked up a couple of nice wood frame ones I’m thinking of getting reupholstered in grey – I’ve never been sure if the wood and grey looks good together – you’ve proved to me it does!
My little pup doesn’t jump up and sleep there like yours do tho!
I have a photoshoot in the a.m. and then i have to get in my run in the afternoon for the event coming up on saturday. Oh, yeah. Somewhere in there will be chocolate. And coffee. And lots of paint chips taped to walls. :):)
Its half term in the UK. We are redecorating my daughters bedroom and walking the chihuahua!.
I must slog through an interminable and superlate manuscript (= book editor in NYC), but I wish I were just working on my apartment! Hi, doggies! (Oh, and where can you get that Moz sweater?) Happy Monday!
I wasn’t lucky enough to get the day off so I’ll be in a sleepy daze all day at work.
Family day up here but I’m (d’oh) writing a speech for work. At least I can write it at home in my pyjamas, wrapped in a blanket, drinking tea.
Well, since I watched an episode of Hoarders last night, it’s full on closet reorganization/purging-donating and getting big buckets of boiling water + cleaning solutions to clean up various nooks and crannies of my 100+ year old house.
First I made cranberry orange scones for my beloveds, since I didn’t have to race out the door.
Oh my goodness what a gorgeous chair. The hubby and I will be taking the kids for a nice long winter walk for family day – then Olympics and more Olympics! Go Canada! 🙂
I’m taking my kids to a city-wide skating party.
Enjoy your day!

Today’s a lazy catch-up day, which means mostly lying in bed reading thru my blog list, going thru stockpiled mags and making tear sheets, and organizing/filing said tear sheets. I love when I can combine lazy and productive into the same day. 🙂
We have gotten quite a bit of snow here in Ohio, I’m enjoying playing in it with my dog Roscoe!
I am working today…making up for the lost week of snow in DC. I love how your puppies love each other!
New commentor, just thought I’d say hi. Found you via apartment therapy a while back, adorable pic of the dogs!
I work from home generally, but am taking today to relax and tidy up my office, which is pretty much my idea of a good time. : )
I hope to catch up on my blog reading. 🙂
What cuties, reminds me of my own two…… just divine.
ahh, so cute! aren’t dogs the the best thing ever? I love it when dogs curl up together in chairs: http://bit.ly/bmITPx

darlings
are they getting along like dog brothers now? they certainly look cosy on that chair
I think of them now I’ve got a new kitten and an established kitty, and exercise patience…
love this pic
Hi Anna,
Im not really a dog lover so the first thing I notice in this photo is your nice Danish chair… May I ask you a question about those chairs? I recently bought a set of 4 mid-century Dutch (Cees Braakman) dining chairs and I wonder if you have some tips for me about how you treated the woodwork? Right now my chairs are polished with some reddish wax, which makes it look like cherry wood. I would like to get that off and show the original colour of the wood, which I think is similar to that of your chairs!
Thank you!
Aw…the little darlings…ours curl up together too…aren’t they the sweetest!
PS…have you seen the new Henny Blanket at Ikea…I very much think you will like it..http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/20171294

I’ve been following your blog and have been considering moving to Newburgh. What’s going on there? It’s been a while…
Hey, part-time neighbor! We went up to Newburgh to start working on our house. The city was beautiful in the snow, even though that meant our house was freeezing. Hope all is well!
Fritz & Bruno have their own version of V-Day going on. Some puppy snuggling looks so adorable. : D

I caught this story on NPR and thought of you….my guess is since you are in the industry that you already know about this book, but in the event you didn’t I thought I would let you know.
Hope you are well.
Miss your posts Anna — Hope all is well.
Best,

from Italy
hope you well… and that you’ll come back sometime soon!
You really need to get over yourself. You should stop blogging….no one would notice or care even for a minute….there are million more like you out there. Who needs you? You’re lucky if you even have someone who appreciates this garbage.
Awww, so sweet!
is ale serious?
I don’t know if “ale” is serious, but either way, s/he has some personal anger issues that would probably be better served in therapy than by berating other people under a veil of anonymity.
I will never understand how people can behave like that, in person or online.
Oh well.
dear anna,
the second “maleducato” post from ale is not from me,
ale from italy!
ale from italy: It’s okay, I could tell from the IP address that it was a different person!! For a second I did think it was odd that you would do a complete 180 over the course of 12 hours, haha!!
(Thank you for your comment, by the way. No need to worry, I’m just preoccupied!)
Anna,
all of ur photos are really lovely, love the feelin, all of them are very inspiring. will surely come back 😉
Such a sweet duo 🙂
