Sometimes you take an accidental, two week break from blogging (I’m blaming the stomach virus from Hell, an unplanned four-day weekend, and advanced procrastination techniques), and then when you come back you can only do it by easing your way in with an adorable animal video.

there appears to be an entire genre of videos in which a person sets a dog in front of a plate of food in a shirt or hoodie, but with the person’s arms through the sleeves, then, blindly, feeds the dog – giving the effect of a dog with hands eating at the table. it is usually ridiculous and hilarious. and the dog has a great time.
I can’t say we have found the quintessential video in this genre, but my husband, who cannot grasp the appeal of most animal videos, is a big fan. and since many of these videos are made outside the US, it does seem to have international appeal.
Hope you’re feeling better! Have you seen the elephant and the blues piano? Made me so happy on a rubbish day. How anyone can do anything to hurt these beautiful, intelligent creatures is beyond me.
