I think everyone knows about Thought Catalog, but have you heard of their sister site, Shop Catalog? I hadn’t until just recently, when I was invited to become a curator on their website. Shop Catalog isn’t a wishlist—it’s a place for women to recommend purchases they’re really, really happy they made.
The only guidelines I was given when making my selections were that I should choose products I actually own, and that those products should be available to buy. I’m used to putting together lists of stuff I want, but how often do I write about stuff I have? Usually just when the purchase is fresh, and then it doesn’t get mentioned again. So, I made it a point to make sure that my Shop Catalog page consists entirely of the things that are really special to me–the Bookhou triangle bag I carry almost every day, the Lila Rice earrings I love so much, and so on. After I sent in my picks, Shop Catalog interviewed me about why each item is important to me. They used my answers to write the product blurbs.
My first five selections for Shop Catalog are up now, and you can peek at some other collections, too!

Hi Anna,
This is unrelated, but a while back you mentioned you were working on a hand lettering tutorial. I know you are super busy but any chance you are still working on it? I would love to see your process. thank you!
I’ll get to it eventually, I’m just way too swamped to finish.
Ahhh, love this! Always enjoy a lighthearted take on ecommerce — this is really well done.
Holy ca-moly! I was appropriately shocked to read this, but as many have written, so inspired by your zest, adventure, vision. Excited to follow along with you on this adventure, and wishing all four of you the very best.
