Friends + Family + Life + Health

Today is my birthday! I am 32 years old.

In the past year I have:

… lost 60 pounds.
… gotten to know my house really well.
… spent time with people I hadn’t seen for years.
… entered my 10th year of being a book cover designer.
… nearly ended my longtime struggle with insomnia.
… gone back to wearing eyeliner.

Five of those things are major, and one is less so—you can probably figure out which one—but this really sums up a good, long year for me. I’m glad to have gotten back to doing all of this, too. I’m having a hard time remembering exactly why I ever stopped doing it.

And I wish I knew you! Can you, at some point, talk about your insomnia issue? Because sister, I just don’t sleep. Not without a prescription–it’s been going on for about three years.

Also, it’s a great list of accomplishments you have. Again, happy birthday.

Happy birthday! It seems we were born one day and one year apart. I’m super impressed with your weight loss. Reaching my weight goal was the biggest accomplishment of the year for me (15 pounds lost here), and I’m so happy to read of your amazing success. I’ve loved following along with your blog, and wish you much happiness in the next year.

OK, I am delurking because after reading this I went to ‘about’ and it clicked – literally. I read Absolutely Vile and loved you and the site. I found you here a couple months ago and something seemed vaguly familiar about this pretty girl and her lovely life. What a ding-a-ling I am for not clicking about…anyway…happy birthday!

And congrats on all those accomplishments! Those are super ones. ((I lost 45 pounds three years ago and it is so nice.)) Have a great year – there’s lots of new eyeliner out there that’s not like it used to be. 🙂
