Art + Design + Four Legs

Paule Trudel Bellemare.

Look! Fritz got his first modeling job!

When illustrator Paule Trudel Bellemare contacted me to ask if I’d be okay with her using some photos of Fritz for reference in a series of drawings she was working on called Girls+Dogs, I didn’t hesitate for a second. Paule’s work is gorgeous, and her drawings of dogs in particular are really very sweet. She captures the personalities of the breeds and relationship between the dogs and their humans so perfectly.

Take a look at Paule’s portfolio, her blog, and her shop on Etsy! You can buy Fritz’s portrait, as well as others from the Girls+Dogs series and a number of other beautiful illustrations.

That’s so cool! Now go make sure you tell Bruno how handsome he is, sibling rivalry can be really wearing on a pup.

Hi Anna! First off, I just want to say how much I enjoy your site, I don’t follow very many and this is one of them I visit regularly…You have such a wonderful eye and I’m really inspired by your renovations/aesthetic. After renovating an old row house in Montreal, I now live outside of the city in the country and was so happy to find Paule’s work on your site. I have a black pug and have been wanting to buy some original art with one depicted. I love to support local artists so thanks!
