HOUSE: Newburgh + Scavenging

I may (or may not) have a problem.

Yes, that’s right, it’s more Eames shell chairs! I’m losing count, honestly. But look! It’s a (nearly) matching set! They can go around the dining table! And there are no tears in the vinyl, even on the seams! And the fibers are nice and juicy! Oh, and the price was so good! I’m considering switching out the stacking bases for rod (Eiffel) style, but we’ll see.

Also, my wallpaper samples from Ferm Living arrived. How am I supposed to make a decision? They’re all beautiful…

Oh, congrats on the chairs. They look great.

And good luck choosing a wallpaper, they are all gorgeous. I’m almost glad that I can’t wallpaper, I feel like the choices might drive me over the edge.

Jennifer, there are so many ways to use wallpaper without actually putting it directly on the walls! Have you thought about papering a huge piece of plywood and screwing it to the wall (or even just leaning it against the wall)? Or…the inside of a wardrobe…the bottom of drawers…in a frame/underglass…etc…

I love wallpaper. It isn’t the huge commitment everyone makes it out to be, and it’s nearly as affordable as paint. 🙂

    Great score on the chairs!!!!

Hard choice on the wallpaper!! Ferm wallpaper makes me weak in the knees. I do have a soft spot for the peacock feather pattern.

The chairs are beautiful, I don´t see any problem :). I would keep the legs, they are like spider´s.

fantastic chairs! you have such good fortune!

The wall papers look amazing as well. where are you going to wall paper?

I don’t know where I’m going to wallpaper, which is part of why making a decision is difficult! I sort of just want to use a little bit here and there, I wish I could order quarter rolls. 🙂

How did you obtain the wallpaper samples? I’d love to get some but they say they are wholesale-only.

  • Reply Anna at D16 November 18, 2007 at 11:01 pm

Hi Sasha, they are definitely not wholesale only! You can order their papers online, just follow the “where to buy” link on the site and go to the right location (I don’t know what country you’re in).
