How was your weekend?

Moomintroll, Snufkin, and Misan had an excellent weekend. We’re all exhausted, though, so the scavenger reports will have to wait until tomorrow. We may still have another pickup to do in Connecticut tonight for some special goodies. Coffee, please!

(The Moomin dolls are my mother’s, not mine—I can’t get her to give them up! Aren’t they wonderful? I’m posting their picture because today is my beautiful mother’s birthday. Happy birthday, Mommy…I miss you!)

    The dolls are really cute, but are you sure that is Little My? She looks so sad and worried, maybe it’s her big sister Mymlan? Or Misan?

    Adam, she must have bought them in Sweden…probably close to 40 years ago! Here’s a closer photo of Moomintroll’s nose, I think it’s made from very thin leather stretched over a gourd:

    Hi! I love your blog and your sense of style.. I just found this site and i started thinking that are you part finnish?? I mean you seem to love aalto and moomins and other stuff from finland.. Its cool, cause I’m from helsinki and i bet you would love too see all the aalto buildings that we have here! aalto’s home, villa mairea etc.. So come and pay a visit here!!
