I’ve been envisioning a flat-weave, graphic rug for the bathroom floor, and this photo (originally posted by Victoria) captures exactly what I have in mind.
So far, I haven’t been able to find a rug that’s just the right size for my tiny bathroom (it has to be large enough to extend under the tub legs a bit, but not so large that it covers too much of the marble hexagons), but I have found several that are close to perfect otherwise. I’ll keep them in mind for other areas of the house!

I would never cover those gorgeous tiles up, but I guess that might lead to a dangerously slippery floor. Well then, I’m a sucker for all things Missoni.
I love that Missoni zig-zag! Must find a way to incorporate it into my own house …
oh my! that missoni zig-zag rus is gorgeous! i. want. it….badly.
ohhhh love that idea!
I like the Missoni mats very much, but I don’t like the idea of them in your bathroom. I loooove your all white bathroom and the tiles, in particular, are stunning. It seems a shame to cover them, especially with something that’s so loud.
I look forward to seeing what you do, regardless.
I love the Photos of those bathrooms and rugs, I posted one myself days ago, but no rug in my real bathroom,I am Tooo practical for that.
oh i like the 1st rug (the Navajo one)! did you end up painting your bathtub pink?
and omg, that photo is so fantastic…
what great finds!!! I’ve been searching for an affordable chevron rug to no avail, the fez flatweave should do the trick for me. I think any of those would look awesome in your new bathroom (which, by the way is amazing!)
You should look into New Mexico Rug Companies, I saw so many of those fabulous rugs in your photo for very litter while on a recent road trip. Good Luck!
Hi Anna,
I was browsing Etsy today and saw these rugs. They reminded me a bit of the ones you posted here. They’re smallish, affordable, and look like they’ve been previously loved by someone else. (And they’re red, black, and white.) Anyhow, if you’d like to see, here’s the link: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6186070§ion_id=5604677
Would you ever consider a post on lighting? I have standard height ceilings and my rooms are small, and I love pendant lamps…is there any rule of thumb for hanging these types of lamps?
