Font foundry House Industries just announced a joint project with Herman Miller: 80 Eames wire-base (LTR) tables that include A thru Z, numbers and ornaments from the Eames Century Modern font collection. Don’t get all excited, though, because the 80 tables are only going to be sold in Hong Kong and Tokyo. Bummer!! Before I read that part of the announcement (okay, and the part where there are only 80 tables), I was all set to finally cough up the cash to buy one of these cute little guys.
Maybe one of the lucky buyers will send me the crate their table comes in.

Ah me too! I’ve been contemplating buying one of these to put with my LCW, and fell in love when I saw these type versions and was so ready to buy one… it’s a shame they’re only being sold in Asia.
Maybe if enough Eames/type lovers ask nicely, they’ll release a batch over here?
There’s a part of me that wishes I lived in Asia now.
They are wonderful — and eminently DIYable, for those of us **cough** who love with our noses pressed against the glass.
Oh, most definitely! I’m just not sure I could trust myself to do such a perfect job and risk destroying a perfectly good little table! I do wish that vintage LTRs were easier to come by…
Blast!
I was also ready to shell out for a table. grrr.
If I can get a hold of one of these (cousin in Tokyo!) I will cut a hole in one end of the crate and use over the kitty litter box – they deserve a little vintage eames too.
Are these human size or miniature? They really are very good! I agree, I think they are very diy-able. (of course I want the real thing, but I also want a womb chair and my kids to go to college!) A sign company could make a stencil or a decal probably.
Yes, they’re regular human-size!
I brought a similar table and painted it as shown in the post and presented it to my hubby. He liked it a lot and i can assure you that this will add to the beauty of your room.
The tables ARE awesome, but I’m really in LOVE with the crates.
