Christmas cards from Parabo Press - doorsixteen.com

A couple of months ago, I told you about a new app called Parabo Press, made by the good people at Photojojo. They did an amazing job printing large-scale posters of my photos, as well as a really nice accordion-style album of my snaps from Marfa. Now they’re making greeting cards, too!

I’m usually really, really bad about sending out Christmas cards, but this year I’m gonna do it. I’m not just going to write in all of them, I’m also going to write addresses on the outside, buy stamps, and put them in the mailbox…before January 1st. (Let’s be real, thinking I’m going to have them to their destinations before Christmas is aiming too high on my part. Baby steps.)

I knew I wanted to have Fritz on my cards, but I couldn’t think of a Christmas-y way to photograph him without forcing him to wear a Santa hat. So I just drew some antlers on him. Perfect! He looks insane. I love how his white neck ruff naturally looks like a clip-on Santa beard.

The folded 5×8″ folded cards are printed on thick, matte paper, and the phrases (they have six to choose from) are foil-stamped in gold. As with the posters and album, I’m impressed by the print quality. The app is really well-designed and easy to use, too.

Custom greeting cards from Parabo Press are $40 for a set of 25, and $30 for each additional set of the same design. $5 of each set is donated to Communities Rising, a nonprofit that promotes village-based education in rural India. All good things!

But wait, there’s SPECIAL PROMO happening right now! Parabo Press is offering $10 off every set when you use the code CARDS at checkout. They’re also upgrading all orders on holiday cards to express shipping at no extra cost—so you can get them quick. (If you order in the next two days, they can have them printed and delivered to you by Christmas Eve!)

Have a good night, friends. I have to go feed the Alien Reindeer…

I received no monetary compensation for this post, but my cards were printed for me at no cost in exchange for my feedback. All opinions are my own, of course, as is the weird-looking dog.

But Bruno. Bruno needs to be on the card, too. Is Fritz missing him?

They’ll see each other in a few days. They’re both doing well! 🙂
