I Love the Internet + Places + Travels

Hey there, domestic voyeurs!

dwell-resized.jpg
Dwell magazine, April 2011

Wow, so this is super-exciting. As I’ve mentioned, Dwell is one of the few magazines I hold onto after I’ve read it (and one of only two magazines that I currently subscribe to). I’ve been reading Dwell since long before I ever even imagined I’d someday be a homeowner and home-renovator, so to see Door Sixteen mentioned within the pages of the April 2011 issue is kind of a dream-I-never-had-but-could-have come true.

It’s icing on the cake to be listed alongside some of my most favorite fellow home blogs: Chezerby, The Brick House, and My Scandinavian Retreat (all three of which have been featured here multiple times in the past), as well as the new-to-me Hollywood Renovation. (And in the “cheap and chic” issue, no less! Cheers, fellow thrifty-pies.)

New here? The name of the city I live in is Newburgh, New York, which sits on the west bank of the Hudson River about 60 miles north of New York City. The City of Newburgh is a fantastically beautiful, historically significant place, stocked to the brim with architecturally stunning (and stunningly affordable) homes—a great many of which are in dire need of renovation. We’d love to have you join us.

Okay, now I’ll go be excited in private.

Thanks to Jaime for sending me the scan, since I’m too impatient to wait for my own copy to arrive in the mail!

Congratulations!! Being recognized in that way is the holy grail for a blogger. I’ve read posts new and old (love your non-city living room) and you’ve got me interested in the crock-pot method for hardware around my apartment. Love from Louisville.
